PathBuddy is desktop software and an account portal for structured pathology and examination documentation workflows. Features may include form navigation, dictation support, report/label generation, local-first case files, licensing, device management, and subscription-based cloud dictation access.
Billing and Subscriptions
- PathBuddy may offer monthly and annual subscription options.
- Payments are processed by Stripe-hosted checkout and billing pages.
- PathBuddy does not store full credit card numbers on its servers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
- Customers can manage billing through the Stripe Customer Portal when configured.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel a subscription through the billing portal or by contacting support. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable. If you cancel, paid access may continue until the end of the current billing period. If you believe there was a duplicate charge or billing error, contact support for review.
Cloud Dictation and Soniox
PathBuddy may use Soniox for optional cloud speech-to-text processing. When cloud dictation is enabled, audio, dictation snippets, transcript text, and related technical data may be transmitted to Soniox or another transcription provider for processing.
Soniox publishes security, privacy, and compliance documentation, including statements about SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, GDPR, HIPAA-related materials, no model training on customer audio/transcripts, and non-retention of audio/transcripts unless storage is explicitly requested through a supported service.
